Structure
Our
Philosophy
Our
job is to guide students in a clear, precise manner towards success.
If there is one
downfall with at-home programs, it's the amount of structure provided
to the students. Yes, the lesson plans are there. Yes, the dictation
is there. Yes, it's an "at-your-own pace" program. But should
it be? No.
You're perfecting
a skill that is comparable to becoming a concert pianist. Such an
undertaking would be hard enough in a campus atmosphere, surrounded
by teachers and fellow students. At home, you're on your own. Because
of that, your dedication, drive and focus have to be above and beyond
that of an on-campus student.
And the truth
is (let's be honest here!) that most students don't have the self-discipline
necessary to succeed in an at-home environment. They start off with
the best of intentions. The desire is there. But if there are any
gaps in the program structure, the typical at-home student will take
advantage of those gaps and ultimately lose their momentum over time.
The SimplySteno.com
program removes those gaps. Every day is structured for you down to
the minute, erasing any confusion about what to do at any given time.
Each daily schedule is designed
to target a specific portion of your steno experience, whether it's
writing, readback, academics or transcription. And we keep the schedule
fresh so you don't get bored.
The mental aspect
of court reporting is a big part of our program. And each day of our
program will include lesson plans that teach you how to gain control
of your thought process, giving you the focus and mental stability
you need to succeed!
