Unlike most programs that will take your hard-earned money, regardless of who you are or what skill level you may have attained, the SimplySteno.com program does not work that way. Our goal is for every student who goes through our program to pass the RPR exam (or state exam). Keeping that in mind, we've developed a program that highlights our strengths.
Your Requirements
Students must own their own steno machines prior to beginning our program. It does not matter if it is manual or electric, but at speeds of 170 and above, we would recommend electric.
Students must be at a minimum writing speed of 60 words per minute to start our program. We do not teach theory, so you must enter our program with a solid grasp of whatever theory you've learned. Repeat - this is NOT an entry-level program. You should not start the SimplySteno program if you are not proficient in your theory. We will not accept anyone who is not.
You must be between the speeds of 60 and 190 words per minute. If you are a 200 student or higher, I recommend checking out one of our sister sites - RPRPrep.com or CSRPrep.com.
We strongly suggest that students take the academics we've worked into the program. You may have taken these academics before, but we want to make sure you have the proper information you need for the RPR exam and we can't rely on your past academic experiences. If you don't take our academics, you can't complain later that you weren't properly prepared.
Students must make payment for each 3-month session before the session begins.
And finally, we reserve the right to remove any student from the SimplySteno.com program at any time if we do not feel you are giving it your best effort. We are very up front about the fact that this is a solid program and you will have to make a genuine effort. If you can't, we don't want your money. If you are removed from the program, we will reimburse you for the last session paid.
Our requirements are so tough because we want to see you succeed! Court reporting is not a skill that can be mastered by taking a passive approach. We'll keep you on your toes!
