Court Reporting Homestudy

SimplySteno Court Reporting Program

Our Philosophy
Quality, value, structure and guidance.

There are several court reporting programs available to you on the Internet. And in our "Compare" section of this site, I encourage you to look through each of them. Because I'm certain that you will discover that SimplySteno.com is not just another online court reporting program.  We differ in many ways.

We will not present you with a certificate at the end of the program. Is that your goal - to receive a certificate of completion from a court reporting program? No. Your goal is to be using your steno machine in a money-making capacity, whether it be as a court reporter, captioner, transcriber, etc. And that's our goal for you as well.

Several states do not require certification of any kind from prospective court reporters. A few states require the passing of a CSR exam. Most, however, require you to pass the RPR exam given by the NCRA. And anyone who is a member of the NCRA is eligible to take the RPR exam. You don't even have to be enrolled in a court reporting school, despite what many programs will tell you.

The bottom line - passing the RPR exam will open the most doors for you as a court reporter. And that's what SimplySteno.com will prepare you for. We will round out your program with important information that is not required to pass the RPR exam, but the bulk of your training with us will be focused on one goal - passing that RPR exam and getting you into the working world.  Are you in a CSR state?  Click here!

As you look through our site, you will see that the SimplySteno.com court reporting program is not for everyone. It requires dedication, time and trust. We will hold up our end of the agreement - we only ask that you hold up yours. We don't want to see you wasting your money or time. Before going any further, make sure you're qualified to start our program by clicking here.

Students must be at a minimum writing speed of 60 words per minute to start our program. We do not teach theory, so you must enter our program with a solid grasp of whatever theory you've learned. Repeat - this is NOT an entry-level program. You should not start the SimplySteno program if you are not proficient in your theory.  We will not accept anyone who is not.

Take a look around and please feel free to email us with any questions you may have. Thank you.
