Greatest non-court reporting achievement -	Surviving Katrina. My husband had to stay in New Orleans for his job, and I stayed with him. Afterwards, I spent 6 weeks finding food, shelter and clothing for victims. It was very inspiring to see the courage people displayed.
Hidden Talent	It’s so well hidden, even I can’t find it.
Secret desire -	To have magic powers like Samantha.
Best advice I've ever received -	A pedicure can cure anything. (Thanks, Mom!)

How I discovered court reporting -	I was looking for something new that would be in the law field, but not law school. A friend has been a CR for 20 years and she advised me. She’s now my mentor.
Favorite Movie	Any screwball comedy from the 1930’s.
Favorite TV Show	Grey’s Anatomy
Anything you want to add about yourself -	I used to be a freelance writer. I’ve published two books, including an award-winning cookbook, and I’ve developed recipes and written about food for many major magazines.
