Name Droppers

court reporter ncra court reporting

This game is called Name Droppers. There are 10 levels to the game. The player can start off at any level they want - 1 to 10. The higher the speed, the faster the names drop. The players must spell the names, letter by letter, before they hit the water.

If the first letter typed is C, the typist must type the whole name "Carl Creathers" before any other name can be attempted. When they finish typing that name, the next letter they type will determine the name that's next. If they type a D, they will have to finish Diane Diega next before they can type anything else.

As they type the letters, the letters light up. When they finish a name, the parachute disappears and a happy face takes its place. 1 point is added to the score.

If they don't type a name in time and it hits the water, it disappears and a sad face takes its place. 1 point is added to the missed names.

The game is over once they miss 3 names. They can pause the game by pressing pause and exit the game at any time.

To set up the game, the player will have to "train" the game. They only have to train the game once, then the information is stored. They train the game in "Training Mode." Each letter of the alphabet comes up and the typist has to type it. This will show the game how they type each letter. Since they won't be using a computer keyboard, they will be using their steno machines, each player types differently and the game will have to recognize it.

High scores will be stored as well, so the player knows how well they are doing.
